ABOUT

Hello and thank you for your interest in our new and growing community. We started this project to educate those with a so called disability about the benefits of Jiu Jitsu for persons with a limitation.

"Jiu Jitsu Makes Us Equal"

Learn how to use leverage to better your life. Jiu jitsu helps so many of us with our everyday routine. It strengthens our bodies, helps us trouble shoot through problems, surrounds us with positive helpful people and teaches us how to use and defend our bodies. .

With 3 media outlets designed to cater to most limitations you can Listen to the Porrada Podcast (Launching Soon), Read the Without Limitations Magazine, or Watch at Without Limitations TV on youtube. We aim to provide an insight into what's available to do with a limitation from around the World and be a positive source of information for all to get their foot, stump or wheels in the door of a more independent and active life.

Max has managed multiple employees, large construction projects and was responsible for the cost accuracy of many multimillion dollar bids and projects.

He also has been studying the art of Jiu Jitsu for over 10 years. Starting on his feet in 2009, and has spent the last 8 years continuing, and perfecting his journey with a T5 Spinal Cord Injury.

All these skills, and knowledge, together with the desire to help others; is what motivated Max to start the IJJWLF Adaptive Jiu Jitsu Federation, Without Limitations™  projects, and magazine.

"The progress we achieve for Adaptive Jiu Jitsu is done as a family, together as one. We listen to the community, It's not about making money or seeking recognition. It's about introducing Jiu Jitsu to those with limitations even if we have to test the comforts in our own daily routine.

I strongly feel that its Healing, Strengthening, Educating, and Self Defending benefits will help most struggling with a limited lifestyle.

believe in balance tho, Enjoying the Jiu Jitsu Lifestyle  without balance is pointless. Everyone should try new things. Try every adaptive opportunity you can find. Thats why I'm on a road trip for a couple years to seek out what is available.

Jennifer Simons

Editor In Chief

Jen is a homeschool mom who found Jiu Jitsu as a way to stay motivated to exercise. Jiu Jitsu helps her keep multiple autoimmune diseases at bay.

“When I started Jiu jitsu, I fell frequently. I figured, since my balance wasn’t good and I fell anyway, I might as well learn how to fight from the ground.”

Since beginning training 3 years ago, Jennifer has stopped using a cane, and has retired her service dog to the family pet. She has also lost 100 pounds through diet and exercise. Before Jiujitsu, Jennifer studied multiple other martial arts, and obtained a black belt in Shotokan. The same discipline she learned from Shotokan, is what she employs when trying to heal from autoimmune disease.

“Healing naturally is difficult. But difficult isn’t the same

as impossible.”

Design Experts

Grappling Graphics™ donates all their time and designs to make this possible.

With over 20 years experience in the graphic design world we are fortunate to have them helping us with our projects.

“ We could use our designs to make $ for ourselves but isn't that what everyone else does?

We want to help build projects that make a difference in the lives of others.

Our theory is if we volunteer our time and endure small amounts of brief discomfort to help another who's discomfort is greater. Money gets burned fast, memories last forever. If our designs can help another then it only natural to let them.

We get paid when its affordable and only if the designer isn't  benefiting from the projects already”
